The NH School Transportation Association is the state's trade association of school districts and private bus contractors providing transportation for the state's school children. The Association has as its main purpose "the highest degree of safety in the transportation of school children", working with common intra-industry problems, and the cooperation with existing allied industries, associations, and governmental agencies for the advancement of school bus transportation. Members of the Association own and/or operate approximately 90 percent of the school buses traveling New Hampshire highways.

2023 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION NOW AVAILABLE!
Applications may now be submitted for NHSTA's $500 scholarship which will be awarded to any high school senior of an NHSTA member (regardless of position held within a fleet or SAU' transportation operation). Students planning to attend any form of post-secondary education leading to a degree, professional license or certification (technical schools) area eligible to apply. The scholarship will be paid directly to the student's school for the 2023-2024 academic year. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 5, 2023. Applications may be submitted along with required supplemental documents via email scan to info@nhsta.org or mailed to the address provided on the application.

On Saturday, November 5, NSHTA hosted an outstanding in-service on bully and suicide awareness training at Merrimack Valley High School. assembly and thanked and congratulated all for the
incredible job they do on a daily basis to ensure
the safety of NH's school-aged children. This was his
first official appearance in from of an NHSTA audience.

NHSTA Board of Directors News
Your board of directors gathered on June 14 in Concord for the first time in-person (since February 2019 due to the pandemic) to host the Association's Annual Meeting and to confirm leadership for 2022-2023. A review of the past year's accomplishments and discussions about the year ahead were held. NHSTA also confirmed new director, Ryan Renauld Smith from with MTA and also appointed both Marc Raposo and Howard Anderson as advisory directors. New roles for both. The board takes a break in July and August and will resume regular board meetings in September which are open to all members.

Congratulations! 39 Students Completed NHSTA School Bus Instructor Development Program

Pictured above is the graduating class and team of instructors for NHSTA's School
Bus Instructor Development program that as held the last week of April.
They gathered at Manchester Transit Authority where they
learned the proper way to instruct others in how to conduct require
pre-trip inspections and other on-board procedures. We wish them
all success as they are now sitting for or scheduling their certification exams
with the Office of Pupil Transportation.
